Dr. Wasilewski is a Scientist with the St. John’s Rehab Research Program at the Sunnybrook Research Institute and an Assistant Professor (Status) with the Department of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy and the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute at the University of Toronto. Her research program centers on creating and evaluating patient-engaged health services that improve mental health and well-being across diverse care settings and populations. She is a recognized expert in peer and psychosocial support programming and has methodological expertise in qualitative approaches, mixed methods and co-design.  Her work has been recognized by over $22 million in funding and disseminated through 42 peer-reviewed publications and over 55 presentations and invited lectures. Dr. Wasilewski’s landmark initiatives include the development of a National Long COVID Education and Awareness Hub and the co-design of Canada’s first cross-continuum trauma peer support program.
