Candace McNaughton

Dr. McNaughton’s training includes a medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis, residency training in emergency medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, a 2-year fellowship in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement in the US Veterans Health Administration, followed by a Masters of Public Health and PhD in epidemiology from Vanderbilt University.  

Dr. McNaughton’s health services research focuses on cardiovascular outcomes, healthcare utilization, and long COVID. As appropriate for the scientific question, her work also includes validation of mass spectrometry to measure serum concentrations of cardiovascular medications; survey design and validation, implementation science, and clinical trials.
