Sharmistha Mishra
Sharmistha Mishra is an infectious disease physician and mathematical epidemiologist. She holds a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Mathematical Modeling and Program Science. Her lab's research is centered on teasing apart mechanisms and consequences of heterogeneity and health disparities in epidemics. They work at the intersections of epidemic theory and causal inference, harnessing different types of data and building new mathematical models of disease transmission. The lab's partnerships and engagement with communities and public health teams at multiple levels and across epidemic contexts, shape their science.
