Allison McGeer

Dr. McGeer is an adult infectious disease physician and epidemiologist at Sinai Health System. She is the coordinating investigator of the Toronto Invasive Bacterial Diseases Network, a founding member of the Canadian Nosocomial Infection Surveillance program, and a site investigator for CANVAS and SOS in the Canadian Immunization Research Network (CIRN). She has been a member of Canada’s National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI), and is a current member of NACI’s influenza and pneumococcal working groups and of the Ontario Immunization Advisory Committee. Much of her research focuses on viral respiratory illness in adults. She has been involved in outbreak response and pandemic planning at the local, provincial, national, and international level for more than 20 years.
